Has anybody tried BOW for dtv 101 on IA8? If so, what are the kits and possitions used?

Since I will be getting a 7000 in a few weeks, I ask the same question. The answer is that the "universal" bracket will work for DirecTV, but I'm not sure what the position is for the 12 degree offset.

No problem at all. You will use the Universal "B" kit with the "A" bracket. It attach's on the right side of the arm (when facing the dish) and the LNB is set to #8.

I got a new DW tripod system last week with the BOW option. Have setup and connected 3 times to internet and noticed IA8 is a narrow lock but cannot get anything from DirectTV. The arm is on right side looking from front of dish, the LNB is set at 8 and I have tried 2 different cables. Also tried each of the dual outputs from the LNB. Noticed the D10 DTV reciever was very hot to touch even though it was off overnight. Do not get anything when DTV tries to seek each transponder. Tried moving it in/out on arm and nothing !
