I am trying to determine the cause of TV programming playback problems with this unit. The silly thing freezes up during playback and the forward and back control get funky. It then locks up completely and after several minutes will do a complete reset and come back on with live TV as if nothing happened.
The receiver software shows L469 but the latest version is L530 shown on the DISH website. A version L468 came out in July of this year and with L530 already out, makes one think there may be issues.
I have tried to force an upgrade using the instructions on the website but no joy. I have been using email "support" without much result.
Really don't want to go through the process of getting an replacement DVR in the middle of the season startups.......not good for household tranquillity.
Has anyone else experienced this sort of thing recently?

It looks like I might be the only one here with this particular Dish DVR problem, and that is a good thing.....
My problem was what Dish called a known problem and sent me a replacement. Case Closed
