Normally, after set-up, I remove the OPI and its cable and block. Recently it was suggested to me that I leave the OPI BLOCK on. This person says he gets faster internet and/or signal strength when he leaves the OPI block on. Is this true? Should I leave the block on or take it off. (I have a 6000 modem.sat 95 :help:

I have heard that some people have had problems with removing the Block and installing a Barrel connector. What happens is that they lose the ground and thus lose the connection or can have a intermittent grounding problem. This could affect the signal strength.
Leaving the OPI BLOCK in place poses no problem that I know of and if fact could help in insuring a proper ground.

OK, can someone clue me in? We use an OPI, but I have no idea what an "OPI block" is!
