Thank you for the reply Bill. When the lightning stops in a day or so I will give it all a try.

This is Jack who wrote earlier about updating D3.
Bill, I failed, it failed, something failed...

The screen came up and said "Update Compleat, Power off an then on".

I did and now I can't talk to it. When It powers up the LNB is on and the Busy flashing. Then it goes to LNB and LAN lit and nothing happens.

I brought it up in Boot Mode for the nvclear but it only said conecting to 192.168.0.250 then disapeared.

Nothing changed in the D3.

Did it through the WiFi cause the screen never changed for me to enter IP address 192.168.0.3.. Browsed for the right file and it all seemd to be going good..

Really frustrating, need a beer. Where do I go from here? did I kill it? any advice is welcome.

As the instructions say, you must not do the firmware update via wi-fi. It's hard to tell where you are in the process, but if you did do the update without the computer being hardwired to the router then you need to make this connection and start over again.

My closest service center is where ever the heck I am!
MotoSAT has a number of dealers but few that really know what they are doing when it comes to trouble-shooting. If you can get to Albuquerque there is a good dealer there that could certainly get you up and running again.
I don't know of anyone else in the NM area but depending upon where you are headed next I might be able to point you toward another dealer.
We also offer paid telephone tech. support that will likely cost less than most dealers charge for a personal visit but the choice is yours.
If you need information on other dealers along your travels just let me know and I will try to get you some others.
