Danger, warning, Will Robinson!
MotoSAT released a final version of their 3.9.5 firmware today. Just for grins I thought I would try to use the D3's built in link to Upgrade Firmware to see if this option had been improved since I last attempted this routine.
The answer is NO! Please do not attempt to update your D3 controller using the Update Firmware option under the Advanced Functions option of the D3 Control Panel.
The update appeared to have gone through successfully but the antenna would not complete a Dish Calibration at all no matter how many times I tried.
I re-installed the software using my own instructions that are detailed in the Reference Material topic in this forum and the update was successful without incident.

Other than using the proper update procedure, do you recommend 3.9.5 for us mere mortals?

If you are already on 3.9.4 then 3.9.5 does not appear to be a necessary update.
I have stated for some time that I really like the 3.9.4 firmware and 3.9.5 appears to be no less acceptable.
If you are on a version of software lower than 3.9.3-1 the update is highly recommended and if you are on 3.9.3-1 the update would be considered optional.
It was the 3.9.3-1 software that introduced the Import/Export file option into the software.

I have updated to 3.9.5, today, from 3.9.1. I've been sticking with 3.9.1 because it would work better than the new versions (3.9.1 was the last version to use trigger setting of 9). With newer versions, I had the problem of trigger setting of 4 being too sensitive and 5 would swing back and forth (I would give up after 4 or 5 360s). My first attempts searching with 3.9.5 showed 3 and 4 being too sensitive. Setting of 5 did one 360 and on it's way back, stopped on 89W and peaked. I think I will keep this one.

Did you mean 3 and 4 were too sensitive and 5 worked properly?
Glad to hear that this versions appears to have solved the problems you had with 3.9.4.

Are there any known issues with the new 3.9.5? I have 3.9.4 installed and seems to work fine. Any reason to upgrade. What does 3.9.5 do that 3.9.4 does not do?
