I am pleased to announce that after a search of potential locations, Beaudry RV Resort in Tucson, Arizona has been selected as the site of the 2007 DataStorm Users Rally. This selection was in large part the result of the responses we received from you on our poll.

Please mark your calendars that the Rally will be held from October 21-27, 2007. Check in will be on Sunday afternoon October 21 with 5 days of technical sessions (Monday, October 22 through Friday October 26) and check out on Saturday morning October 27.

I wish to express my appreciation to all of those who visited sites, made suggestions as to potential locations and provided the information needed to narrow down the potential locations.

There will be more details available during the next few weeks.

I'll just have to make this Rally then !! Save one of those Hot Tub spaces for me. That is the one thing I really miss about selling my stick house, I rarely missed a day having a good soak in the 104 deg HOT tub.

The MotoSat Rally dates overlap with the Sun Valley Swing 'n' Dixie Jazz Festival where we are volunteers.
We will have to miss the Rally again.
It would have been fun.
Next time!

Since there are "HOT TUBS" at this location, I think I will attend. Are there any special rituals for Rally Rookies? I don't have to wear a grass skirt, coconut bra, and a pink flamingo hat do I???

Dylan, no special rules other than an interest in learning and the desire to meet other users. We would certainly love to have you join us. If you want one of the Hot Tub sites you need to register early and you will not get the 'rally rate' for those prime sites.

And if you do get a hot tub site, let us know your site number. [Smile] Are you buying or is it BYOB?

It appears that that "rally rate" is the same as the daily rate that time of year unless they are planning a big rate increase so the hot tub sites should not be much more than about $15/night extra. Since there are also 2 very nice public hot whirlpools I think I will save the money and walk just a bit.

The "Rally Attendance" page (link above...) is currently showing 52 users, with 94 people coming. Nineteen have reservations already.

Not too bad, considering this is only March, and the rally is in October. Way to go Rally Crew !!

The rates for Beaudry vary by month. The regular rates for October 1 - December 31 are $33-$41 and $46 for the jacuzzi sites.

I put the dates in the calendar.
Chris and I look forward to heading west again.
Tucson in October should work out well for us. Beaudry is sponsoring our seminars for the FMCA convention next week. We hope they will want us to do other seminars this coming year, too.
How about a "computer essentials" pre-rally rally?
