MotoSat "Star Chaser" TV antenna. Has anyone heard of and more importantly does anyone have any literature or an operation manual for the controller. I have never heard of this one, but I have a customer who purchased a pre-owned coach with this reportedly working antenna on it. I summon anyone that is familiar with this unit to chime in and help this customer.

We installed exactly one "back in the day". It was pretty much worthless then and I suspect that it still is. It was a real mess to operate and a huge pain to setup. We never did any more after the first. I think it was back in 2001. You might want to call Royal Lamb and see if its possible to update the system to a Nomad controller. It was so totally different than there other unit I am not sure that it can be. If I recall correctly this unit was built for a specific need like the Canadian service (Star Choice maybe) but I am sorry, I really can't remember. Do the customer a favor and either update the controller or replace the entire mount if necessary.

Thanks Bill for the info. As I understand it, any Nomad can be used to operate it, but the customer says it is working and just wants to know how. I hate to fix something that isn't broken, so selling him a Nomad is a waste, but a new antenna would be the best choice. Thanks again.
