OK, I really have to ask. I'm not all the bright about electronics. Going back to '65-'67, FTA had only one meaning. And I'm sure it is NOT what you are talking about.

Free to Air.
Video, Audio and TV channels broadcast without encryption on various satellites.

What that site says is true.

This what you need:

Fast pc windows xp ( others supported )
dvb-s card or usb.
Satellite dish c or ku or dss.

Put Directx 9 on the computer
put pci or usb on the computer.
put codecs on the computer
got MyTheatre or outher programs.

With this you get feeds and networks and international. ON C band and KU.

With addons you get scrambled channels on dvb services in NA. not legal

Most all satellite hobbiest have been running DVB-s cards for 4 years now. Feeds are a plenty.
The nice thing is you can get lots of HD if you have a C band dish. Almost every game.

With Ku you can get lots of news feeds like Hurricane feeds.

I don't think it nessare to spend 67 bucks for a how to guide but it is real.

With MyTheatre you can stream a live feed anywhere in the world.

Cool.

Also with TsReader you can look at HN transponders and see when they are packek.

dvbcore dot com + MyTheatre
coolstf dot com = TsReader ( check surported cards under DSS to DVB for Directv on PC on Subed cards)

For HD feeds you will need atleast P4 3.0 and up, 1 m cache 1 gig of mem video card with hardware accell.

Time to read...
