I want to give everyone a heads-up on some big changes coming to StarBand.

There is a new satellite in town, which will be opened up to StarBand users in early to mid June. At that time, a migration of all customers who can get service on the new satellite will begin. Only customers who cannot receive the service because of their location (i.e., line of site or power level) will remain on the old satellite, at 129 W.

I am working on a transition document, which contain excerpts from my user guide, edited for the new satellite, and will contain instructions for reconfiguring your modem and repointing to the new satellite. The document will be made available to any who want a copy, as soon as possible.

Additional details will be posted as they become available.

And, there is more information available on the Transition to Echostar 9/Galaxy 23 Forum on StarBand-Users.com:

Take care,
Barb
