I have been thinking hard over the last week or so about this post (my 10,000th) and didn't know whether to just have it be an answer to one of the regular posts or save up for a detailed post that would solve the problems of the world. It appears that neither of these will be the case so I thought I would create my own post and do a bit of musing about this fabulous site, Don Bradner and mobile satellite internet in general. Well, that didn't really seem appropriate either as I know quite a bit about each of those topics but not enough to wax poetic about any of them. So here it is. I have tried to recall the most common answer to the most common questions as I can remember them since I joined this site back in May of 2003. 1) No! 2) Yes! 3) Glad to help, or, you are welcome. 4) That speed is just about right for Hughes. 5) Wow, those speeds are terrible! 6) No, it's not MotoSTAT, MonoSAT or MonoSTAT but MotoSAT. 7) MotoSAT and Datastorm are the same thing. i.e The MotoSAT Datastorm. 8) Why do tripod users pay less. 9) US tech. support, India tech. support, level 2, level 3, VAR, change satellites. 10) (Early on) Tripods are illegal. 11)(Later) Tripods are perfectly legal. 12) BOW (bird on a wire) works for DTV and Dish Network. 13) When does Don Bradner sleep? 14) Was that post by Jim Pendleton? Cool! 15) Did you enter your GPS location in decimal or in minutes and seconds by mistake? 16) Are you using DSSattool? 17) How do I get HDTV? 18) Where is Quartzsite and why are you going there? 19) Does Skype work with Hughes? 20) No, Wildblue cannot be used in a mobile application. 21) You don't look anything like Einstein (You have to have been around for a long time to understand that one!) 22) Yes, you are correct. This forum is by far the best on the internet and Don is 100% responsible for that! 23) Can we elect Don President?
Don, and everyone, I have to tell you that it has been a pleasure to be associated with this site and an honor to be able to help those that I could, when I could. It is always a treat to have someone come up to me at a rally, such as the current FMCA rally, and say that they just wanted to stop by and put a face to the name as well as say thank you. It's always an interesting conversation that begins with something like... Hi, I am "in desperate need" from the Datastorm users group.....

Earlier today, a forum member had some questions about possibly moving a Yahoo group they have (different topic) to a forum like this. I said, in part, "The big question you would want to ask is whether your most prolific posters are happy and would make the move; if they do, others will follow."
The success of this forum was and is due to the active participation of several people, and obviously with his 10,000 posts, Bill ranks at the top of the list!

Bill, I personally want to thank you and Don and Scott and the other 'original' members of this forum who have stayed the course and continued to provide Hughes users with solutions to their issues/problems/concerns.
Don took an idea and made it a reality. You, our most prolific, have saved many frustrated users from the depths of internet despair.
Thank you for your help and your friendship and for having such an understanding wife.

It's unheard of to find someone in the service business providing free support for everybody's customers, not just their own. There are several dealers on this forum who do that, which is probably unequaled anywhere in any industry. With 10,000 (and now +) posts, Bill sets the pace. Thanks Bill, and thanks everybody else who contributes to making this forum one of the most useful anywhere. And thanks to all the members who help keep this forum clean of the usual petty squabbles that plague most of the others. Good Job, Bill and everyone!

Bill & Janet, Thank You with all my heart! Without the two of you my full timers status would for sure have been much less enjoyable. You are two of the most wonderful folks I know. Hang in there! Thanks Bill, I've copied those 23 answers to a word doc and saved it to my hard drive. Now when I can't get on I know I'll have the answer to my problem!
