It was raining for the last few days so I haven't tried pointing at another bird to get through registration yet. In the meantime, I've discovered that neither the 7000, the 6000 nor the birdog can receive a horizontal signal. I'm beginning to believe that the H-LNB is not working properly. Any thoughts? I'll try to get through registration on 89 today. Also, can anyone tell me where to find a list of the transponders on a given bird?

Success! Will wonders never cease?! I went through registration on AMC3 with no problem. When the modem was ready to reset I turned it off and repositioned on AMC9. It came right up and in fact it's on 1330, H H. I don't know why I couldn't seem to receive the horizontal. Maybe it was a cable problem that got resolved as I was rehooking things while doing the pointing?! .Its working now so I'm greatful for small favors and the help I get here. Thank you DonB, Don-O, Barb and Bill!!

PS: We'll be down in the desert in about two weeks. Hope to run across some of you to give you a personal thanks.
