Setting up in Monticello Utah I mistakenly had incorrect parameters in the DSS tool.
ACP would not respond. Tried forced ranging. Received Tx 13.
Kept trying stuff until I noticed the wrong parameters were entered in DSS Tool.
Corrected and ran DSS with correct info. Still could not range.
Went to HNS Tech Support. Diagnostics showed pointing issues. Said they need to send out a technician.
My guess: I may have gotten myself locked out by continued efforts when my modem still thought I was in Flagstaff .............or the the heavy rainstorm I drove in getting to Monticello killed my transmitter.
I am in town on WiFi and will return again in the morning. I do have cell phone service at my camp site. 928-607-1129
Thanks, Harold

Lockouts from wrong location simply do not happen, even if you tried hundreds of times.
Double and triple-check that the location is correct, then check all cable ends and connections (swap receive and transmit at both ends to be sure) and power-cycle the modem.

You may have to re-run at least the ACP Automatic test and have that pass or you may have to run a complete registration installer routine but one or the other should get you back on-line. If you have to point to another satellite in order to get a successful ACP routine that's OK. Once you get it done you can come back to your satellite, not run ACP, and get yourself on-line.

Thanks All. I tried running registration but ran into issues I wasn't clear on. The local technician responding to the HNS service order ran me through registration and skipped a bunch of stuff that I didn't understand. Went to forced ranging and this time it completed with a Tx8 rather than a Tx13 and I'm back. Whew!
I shall ALWAYS check the windows on the DSS Tool carefully before proceeding.
Thanks Again, Harold
