Don, Your D2/D3 Administrator program has it's own version of the map update feature, and gives an option to use Sterling's DSLocator. Will you be changing it to use your newest program? Gary

I'm going to add the ID/Password option to D2Admin for those who want to use it but have cookie problems. Probably add a checkbox to use the new program also.
I won't remove the DSLocator check box any time soon, since it is still widely used by many members.

One of the things I do when testing a program is click on all the buttons. So I clicked on the 'Retrieve most recent info' button and was pleasantly rewarded with all that good information Nice to know it's stored locally if I edit it too.

It's not clear how to add a 'Members I'm following'. Is that possible from that window?
Never mind, I just figured it out.

The new help button for that item will have added:
"Add a member to follow by placing their member number in the box at the bottom and clicking 'Follow member#'. Delete a member by selecting them in the list and clicking 'Stop Following'."

What I missed was I had selected a member from the list so the box was not blank. When I cleared it, then the button changed to the 'Follow member#' prompt. Intuitive once I thought about it

The latest version of D2/D3Admin now has a checkbox for "Use Map Submitter" (if it finds Map Submitter available). If the version of Map Submitter is also the latest, the lat/long gets passed from the Administrator, so it is a quick click to submit.
In the process of writing this I ran into a couple of small anomalies in the way the program worked, so there is now a version 1.04 available to correct those.
D2 ADMIN is not showing signal from controler, and when posting our position to the map the new message is correct, however the location does not change. Help! Also when posting to the map from the D2 admin screen it hangs up.

D2Admin must connect to the controller for it to work as a submission tool, which most commonly is a controller IP problem.
It sounds like you did a Retrieve with the new program, which would fill in with your last location, then didn't change the location before submitting. What happens when you try to get the location from the controller with the new program?

Bob, be sure that the controller IP address is correct in D2Admin. I just used D2Admin 1.1.46 and DSMapSubmit 1.04 and both worked properly.

I have always used your D2 admin to post to the map. Now when I click on submit the new Map submit screen appears, I typed my message in the box and clicked submit location. Both the sent emails, and on the map page, there is no message. I may have clicked something else before submiting, however I don't think so.
