I see there is a new software on MotoSAT's website. I have downloaded and installed. No visible changes, we will have to wait to see what good things this New Year's present brings

Best of the New Year to you also. I have just updated to version 2.0.0.21 and see no issues either.
BTW, I am parked next to John Prather at Buckhorn Lake RV Resort in Kerrville, Texas where he is workcamping for the winter months. The best of both worlds, camping for a living and being at Buckhorn Lake. Also, their WiFi works like a champ.
This would be a great place for the next Datastorm Users Rally, fine facilities, great owners, the cleanest resort we have had the pleasure to visit, a 'ten, nine, nine point five' rating in Trailer Life.

George, I agree with you regarding Buckhorn, it is a great place. We will be stopping there in a week or so on our way out to Arizona. Our first trip since the Rally in Tampa. I hate to look at the location map, we have been the little cross, all alone up there in Mich. It is going down to a low of 7 degrees here in Mich next week. Bill Harris

Hi Bill, Happy New year! Be sure when you update your map location, you also change yourself from a "+" to a "dish" so everyone knows you own one and not just "lurking". Also, we will in in S. CA and QZ, AZ in Jan and Tucson in Feb. Let us know where your travels take you and be sure to say HI if you pass our way. Get the heck out of that cold and drive safely.

Bill, you will love the warmer weather here, when we pulled in the other evening it got down to 20 degrees, back up to sixty the next day.
We recently enjoyed playing our Raffin organs in Marshall, Michigan (late October) and the weather was great up there, believe we were lucky.
We will leave the light on in the red barn window for you down here--we are leaving for San Diego on Saturday. Sheryl and John Prather are here in site 6042.

Bill, You kiddin', when I get there? We high-tailed it out of Fl and got out West as soon as possible. We have been in Las Vegas for about a month working and playing (and being SICK with the Flu for Christmas!). We head to Temecula Friday for an install and then into Indio, CA for an FMCA show there. Then it is off to QZ for that %^$%^# show! If we pass each other, give us a call.

I installed v 2.0.0.21 and had trouble with firmware install. Got it done and then had to do calibration... Now gps heading reads 0 is this normal? I don't remember what it was before. It did go up and find sat ok.

If your coach happens to be pointing exactly North, 0 would be correct. But that reading should be from the compass not the GPS. I assume that is what you mean. The fact that the antenna went up and found the satellite indicates that it must be correct.

Found this on the datastorm support site... NOTE - You can check to see how accurate your onboard compass is by driving in a straight line, clicking on the Refresh button, and compare Compass Heading to GPS Heading on the sensor readings. (GPS Heading is always correct, but does not work while parked). Compass Heading should be no more than 5 degrees off from GPS heading. Note sez GPS heading dowes not work while parked. My Mag and True Compass reading is N/A and I am parked heading East.

Don THANKS I will sleep better tonight. Will check the next time I stow. Notice I did try to research support at datastorm. But you were here again with all the best of help. I was worried because a compass cal was not done by the orig installer. But have not had any big problems finding sat since Aug 2003 install. I know some have said it will come back to bite me later. Will do one when we get ready to move in the spring from our winter location. Having a great warm time in south TX. And with good sig strength on G4R. Don, Thanks for the correction and "r" sorry for the confusion. I should have gone and taken a second look at my software before I answered. I was thinking that the GPS heading read N/A like the compass does when the antenna is up. Sleep well!!

My install of 2.0.0.21 went very smoothly. I have so far found no noticeably differences in .21 and .17.
Ed, want to let us in on the changes in .21. I for one would appreciate a file with new versions that states what changes/corrections have been made.

Did you all remove the old version before upgrading? I don't see any instructions for this version of the software. Does this also mean I will have to re-calibrate the compass by driving around again?

As far as I know, an uninstall, reboot, and install of the new version is necessary for all 2.x versions. In the past, a re-compass cal was never necessary for an upgrade and I doubt this has changed as the info is stored in the upper board.
