It may be the LNB. After fixing my cable goof at Quartzite I had a signal of 46 which is my norm since installed. The connection was rock solid. In Kernville with fixed dish also about a 46. The signal here is about 45-48 varies but I continue to lose the ready state. Is it possible to replace just the LNB? Also wondering if it is in the cabling since sometimes I have a blue light on the dish and sometimes I do not.

Thanks Bill..We will be home in March and will hook onto the fixed dish. If all works well then I know modem is still good. Seems like I could also rob parts from the home dish. Far as I know they are same?

They are the same, all come from Hughes. With the exception of the very old style TRIA with the square feedhorn instead of the newer Oval one.
