Starting sometime yesterday, Hughes was having some DNS trouble. I couldn't access 1and1 mail nor my web site (janeandjohn.org), or anything for that matter. This morning everything is back to normal, sort of. I still can't access 1and1 mail nor janeandjohn.org. I can access my web site going through a proxy (Tor.) I tried from two different PCs, so I don't think the problem is on my end.

I guess I need to report this to Motosat?

Art - the name never resolves for me, just tried it again. I sent Motosat support an email, so we'll see what happens.

John I re opened in Explorer 8 Firefox 3.5 and Safari 3.2 all on my xp pro machine.

Of course I am on a different sat and tpx and that may have something to do with it.

Have you tried to logon useing safe mode with networking? That method closes all of those little trick programs we all like to use and gets windows down to just windows and the network protocols.

You might be surprised.

Art - I tried to open it up on two different PCs, one of which was my Linux netbook, so there was definitely a Hughes proxy problem which by the way is now fixed! Whoo-hoo.

John I tried your web page and it came through with no problem. I'm not using MotoSat now since I'm in AK.

Hi,
We were having problems with 1and1 yesterday. It would not send Pop3 email. Mine straightened out last night but my wife had to call their 800 support number this morning. They had her change a setting in Outlook and it is now working O.K.
