We are having the same problem as Biker1956. For three out of the last four days, the pages are loading so slow that my husband gave up trying to read news stories and played solitaire instead. Very sad indeed! What is going on?

Larry... things were so slow for me yesterday that I couldn't read or even access Yahoo mail most of the day. Several times Google searches wouldn't even load. Not sure what's going on... but I'm guessing we are going to have even more problems when Irene gets into the general area of the spaceport.

Yesterdays down speed was 594 Kbps (74 kB/s) when it did work with 512kb and today I'm back up to 1.36 Mbps (170 kB/s) with 15Mb. Even with the higher speeds websites are still loading slow.

...and FWIW Xmit stats are;

Failed 1045
Submitted 233265

I swapped in my HN7000S today and after a frustrating hour of browser problems, got it registered. My first speed test showed download of 1.3Mbps. I haven't seen anything near 1Mbps for several months, so I'm sorry I didn't do the swap sooner.

I don't know what is going on. 4 days ago had 1.5Mbps on testmynet
today Testmynet won't even do a 512kB test

Speedtestnet gave a download of 0.57Mbps up 0.25
Ping 821ms

Hughesnet test average of 5 test
Down 1243 Kbps Up 189Kbps
Web Response time 3.4 to 5.8 seconds

Maybe it will be better tomorrow.

Some pages will open like regular speed.
Others real slow to open

Are our results even possible with Hughes service? Or is Testmy.net giving erroneous results?

Certainly possible!

4G is not bad either!

Unless you connect your air card to the WiFi Range in which case 4G looks like this:
