Purchased a new computer, runs on Windows 7. Downloaded new copy of Google Earth. It is sure slow, but even more vexing I do not see the locations of myself or any other member on the map. Is this a lost feature, or do I need to reload the Google maps program?

When these things happen I never know about it until someone points it out. What it means is that GE is choking on some bad character in someone's comment. I'll see what I can find.

Yes, I downloaded Google Earth using link on the datastorm web site, and selected the view on google link on the map after I updated my position.

Just updated my location. Checked on Google and it shows my location, but has a large red X in a box instead of the usual little satellite symbol. Could this be a symptom of the receiving problems that I have been having with my dish? The status page shows I have a signal quality of 69, but the google map took a very very very long time to download.
