I am convinced that my speed problems are with the gateway and not the "bird" itself.
I have been on 83W for a year. For the first 8 months I got 900+ download anytime day or night. Now i get 600 EARLY AM degrading to 100 during prime time.
Is there any way to force a gateway change? I do not want to switch satellites(coverage). Router addr. 67.142.135.167

Unfortunately, the only was to change gateways is to change satellites.

Jerry, you are at least the 4th poster with that gateway and bad speeds. If you are all with Motosat, you are just one short of the number needed to escalate the problem to Hughes; in such scenarios the problem often will get fixed with escalation.
The only problems are if you aren't all reporting it, and reporting it with the IP information, or if some of you have a different VAR. Hughes is quite rigid in requiring 5 users with the identical problem before they will bother to walk over and kick-start the machine.
