I'm parked in a heavily treed public campground in western PA. Unable to see 105W, but 121W Works! Pointed right into tall trees, it still works.
But my lowly 2w F1 service has very low up speeds, usually below a 56k modem, and apparently they have disabled the auto 2x freq switching, as it no more changes.

The use of the term frequency hopping is probably my mistake. As an iDirect option on your inroute, it is not turned on. The hopping that we see is when connecting. For you that was 7 hours ago. Then when the system decides on a Tx Freq to use, it will stay there as long as it is working.
I'm happy to hear that your service on Skype works well.
Your 'lowly 2w' BUC seems to work ok in good weather, as it has been throttled back to -25db by the Uplink Power Control program. We don't know the actual maximum power without a reliable 1db compression measurement.
