I had been having connection problems (seemed to be very slow) so checked my system, I have 5 lights but the system status is degraded. I checked the modem stats (they WERE different)and changed the D4 to match, shut off the D4, power cycled the modem, I am still degraded. The target search is disabled but since I am online I didn't think that should matter...

My question is what will happen when we move? I haven't wanted to mess with it right now for fear of loosing the connection that I do have.

While you should change the Target Search option to Enabled, that is not your current issue. It's only necessary to locate the satellite. This option will make that go faster.
Now that you are there the controller is not going to be a part of the issue unless, as you indicated, the info does not match. Even that can be overcome by simply turning off the D4. 99W appears to be having issues. I have 2 customers reporting that they cannot get on-line due to an odd TX22 error (the pointing test won't start). I would call MotoSAT if you are their customer and report this Hughes issue. Hopefully, if enough folks call they will be able to get Hughes to do something soon.

Motosat tech says that it is probably a hardware issue, cable, transmitter, or modem, doesn't allude to 99w having any issues. Should I rip and tear or wait?
This is the message on the modem page:

"This message indicates that the HN7000S has completed downloading the configuration parameters from the NOC. But a problem was detected with the parameters that was affecting the normal operation of the HN7000S terminal. Therefore, the terminal is using the backup configuration. The terminal will download the updated parameters as soon as they are available."

He also said that abt half of my transmissions weren't getting out. Would not that be reflected here?

Number of Failed Transmissions 51

No, don't rip and tear. This is a Hughes issue. MotoSAT just doesn't want to be bothered. Call them back and let them know that you have checked your connections and run a new cable between the TX and the modem which did not help. Also let them know that others are reporting the same issue on the same satellite.

MotoSat says they need three more callers before they will report the issue to Hughes. PLEASE call Chad at MotoSat if you are experiencing a problem connecting to 99W.

I am on 99W and have not had any problems as of late. I have been using 99 to commission modems.

Only thing is BAD UPLOAD at 33kbps while down loads at 1.5 meg
