I want to thank all of you who have sent in your registrations right away, and ask that everyone else reading this do so at your earliest convenience. Early registrations and reservations at Beaudry are very helpful to the rally committee as they figure out just what is needed and how to accomplish it.
I looked back at postings here last year, and on June 14th we had 48 (RVs - Number of people tends to run about 175% of rig count) who had added themselves to the Rally Attendance sheet and 24 had made their reservations (the registration wasn't available until later in the month).
As I type this, there are 95 on the Rally Attendance list this year (above left), and 52 say they've made reservations. We have 28 paid registrations in the first few days that has been possible, with another 3 that have sent in registrations but we are waiting for their fees to arrive. The attendance list has totals at the bottom that who both RV and People counts.
From early on we've planned on the possibility of a doubling of the attendance, for as many as 200 RVs and 350 attendees. That may still be on the optimistic side, but the early numbers are indeed double what they were a year ago.
So, once again, if you are planning on coming please proceed with the three steps: Put yourself on the list, call in a reservation to Beaudry, and submit your registration and payment for the rally - you will be doing us a very big favor!
In the near future we will be putting out a call for volunteers with specific tasks in mind, and a rally agenda should be ready by early in July. We can say in general that you can expect similar seminars as prior rallies, just more of them as we have a day longer to fit them in. Seminars on Datastorm-related and general satellite technical issues, general computer seminars, fun stuff like geocaching, Q&A Panel discussions, etc.

Today we have reached 100 lines on the Rally Attendance list, representing 177 people; last year that number was reached on August 8th.
62, representing 114 people, say they have reserved their sites at Beaudry, and 45 representing 83 people have filled in registration forms and their fees have been received.
We thank all of you are early-birds, and we can't emphasize enough how important it is to us to see those numbers rise as we make important decisions regarding catering, tech support needs, etc.

Don, as I made a decision to attend the Newmar International here in Gillette and am still out here sightseeing, it is now very unlikely that I would "winter" out here as I had planned... Missed last year with coach issues and now I guess I'll have to wait til next year as I'll be heading back east here the end of the month.... Just attended a 750+ rig Newmar rally here in Gillette and the Camp-Plex here does a wonderful job and there's lots to see...

OK, Bob. I've pulled you off the list. My post shook a couple of others off the list too, who had decided not to make it but were still there. Both ways are helpful - knowing who is, and who isn't in or out.
One of these days I'll get the stars and moon aligned....
