OK, so here we are with one day to go and we have announced this evening that the rally in 2008 will go back to Florida!
November 9th to the 15th, at Lazydays Rally Park east of Tampa. This was also the site of rally number 1 in 2003.
We hope to have everything in place to begin taking registrations by January 1st, so there is lots of time for people to make plans.
We have tentative "intentions" by the majority of this year's committee to attend; whether they will assume the same roles will be worked out as we go forward. As always we will need a good group of volunteers to make it come off as smoothly as this one has.

Lazydays (not Lazy Days) Rally Park is a wonderful place for a rally and I suspect was designed specifically for that purpose.
It has a special place in our hearts - thats where we bought our coach and the park was our very first destination after they turned the coach keys over to us.

Yes, great place. I would not have minded having another location just for variety, but after months of looking we didn't find another that met all our needs, so Lazydays (thanks for the heads-up on spelling) it is!
They have initially blocked out 150 sites for us, which is likely more than enough. We have 115 or so here at Tucson.

Congratulations. Good choice. You've made me a happy camper (too young to fulltime). Even though tomorrow is promised to no one, I'd like to be one of the first to say, "sign me up" and I'll volunteer also.

I'm thinking the same as David - too soon to know for sure but we were already thinking about heading to Florida next fall - this is just one more reason to do so.

Thanks, folks. Here at the rally, my impression was that initial reaction from western residents was "Florida is too far," but after they thought about it a number said things along the lines of "We were thinking of heading that way in the next few years, so why not next year!"

I always tell my family members when they ask when am I coming to visit. "It is just as far from your house to mine as it is from my house to yours." So since I am in Florida I am a happy camper, looking forward to seeing your faces.

I so enjoyed my first rally (of any kind) ever and definitely want to experience it again. So I've signed up to attend. And I will be glad to volunteer to help in whatever capacity you need. Just let me know!

Thyme, You've got the bug! This is an amazing group of people and a rally like no other I have ever attended (and we do A LOT of rallies). We look forward to seeing everyone in FL next year even if that does mean I have to spend Thanksgiving with my Mom and my Step-Dick!? (By the way, I love my Mom!)
