We will have door-prize drawings after the meals on Monday/Tuesday/Thursday and Friday, with lots of great prizes. Over the years we've gone from having enough prizes so everybody wins something (but often not much) to a smaller number of prizes that you actually would like to get! No toilet paper or tank treatment at a Datastorm Rally
50-50 drawings will be held each night, with tickets at $1 each or 6-for-$5. Winner gets half the proceeds, and the other half will all go back into more door prizes.
Motosat has agreed to provide an SL-5 Slimline DirecTV HD dish as the grand prize that will be given away on Friday evening (must be present to win). The dish will be shipped from the factory to a place chosen by the winner. If you aren't a DirecTV customer (or already have an HD dish) this is still a great prize because they have good resale value.
On Saturday we need a group of early-arrival people to help out with stuffing of registration packets. If you are at Lazydays then, come by the clubhouse at 2pm and we will have a good time stuffing away!
We (the rally committee) will all be arriving in Tampa tomorrow (Tuesday), so feel free to drop by and introduce yourselves. We look forward to seeing you!

Tomorrow the Rally starts with registration from 3:30 - 5:00 pm in the Rally Center and a pot luck dinner at 5:30 pm.
Thanks to all the volunteers who have been busy helping out with the rally today. Without you these rallies would not be possible. If you have signed up as a volunteer or wish to volunteer, we look forward to your assistance during the rally.
We hope to see all of you tomorrow.

Rally registration and the pot luck dinner will open the 6th DataStormUsers Rally in Tampa, FL today.
We know that those attending will find the Rally educational and informative, while offering the opportunity to meet new friends who share an interest in RV's and the internet.

Sorry for any inconveniences as the draft agenda on this site still showed Noon - 5 pm.

The story: At the first DSU rally, also at Lazydays in 2003, the organizer was an installer who worked at Lazydays, so didn't bring an RV. He put himself in the pool on the original map.

Gee whiz, Bill & Janet, after seeing good 'ol DS icon #24 posted here in the Rally Park Nancy & I spent an hour or so this afternoon looking for your bus somewhere nearby but to no avail. Of course, we knew you couldn't possibly make the run from Tucson to Tampa in one day although we wish you could have. We're having a grand time meeting/making lots of new friends and putting faces with names we've seen on the forum and/or map. Today was the first day of classes and we learned a ton as we're hoping to finally move out of the "press 'search' & pray"/"press 'stow' & pray" group. Fortunately your Dec '05 install of our system continues to operate flawlessly for which we remain very much grateful. Thanks again.
