Is anyone else being asked to run ACP each time they move? Since reactivating our account in November, we've been required to pass ACP each time we move and once in a while after sitting still for a few days. I understand the need for a strong signal and usually have no trouble passing, but this is new to me...

Chet, all Hughes modems have to pass cross-pol whenever they are moved. Always have had that requirement. Which type of cross-pol, though, is a different matter, as there are three of them.

Can you describe the setup process you use, and the point at which you are asked to pass cross-pol?

As Don said, the modem will do a revalidation ACP each time you move, but this should not require any action on your part. If you are watching the MotoSAT screen as a search ends you will see the TX status change to TX18 (requesting ACP) TX20 (performing ACP) TX9 (adjusting for timing) and TX8 transmitter ready).
What is happening with your system?

It won't go through the usual routine that's worked for the last 6 years. I have to run registration installer and usually pass with no trouble to get back online... Once in a while I drop off and have to rerun registration installer when I haven't even moved...
