I came to the Black Hills of SD and parked in the same exact place. Sat went up, spun around 360 and came back to the start. I had it written down what is was last year and it was 110 elev and 135 az. Sat started back and about the mid 90's az it stopped every two degrees to identify a signal. It did this about four times so I hit stop and did a calibration. Tried searching again and it did the same thing. I went to manuel and found the sat. Every thing seems good now, I have five lights and four lights but I can't access the D3 page. During all this I had access to the D3 page. Any guesses, thanks?

Thanks, Glenn. I don't know about dead, but there definitely is less activity in the mobile satellite internet world than there once was.

As far as your question goes, though, no guesses here!

Do you have the latest satellite table installed? If it were a signal trigger issue it should not first turn 90 degrees. You should be able to remain access to the D3 by power cycling the D3 or the entire setup. If not then you could have an issue with the D3 that would require performing an nvclear to restore access, reset the configuration and perform a new dish calibration.

What is your 'signal trigger' setting in the D3 configuration?
Is the Optimazation set to 'Low'?
When did you last update the Sat Table? The latest one is Jan 12, 2012.

here is the Sat Table file location:

Thanks Bill & Don, I need to download the new sat table. Signal trigger is 4, Optimazation is Low. I did power cycle the D3 by itself and now able to access it. Does this mean that maybe I don't have to a nvclear? On your link Don, is it the shorten version?

I'm going to be parked here for two months and would hate to lose my internet and TV so I think I'll leave it along. Before we pack up to go I'll check it out again unless you guys have a different point of view on this? Thanks again!!

If you are pointed and on-line, I would do nothing! If you need additional help down the line we will still be here. Download the new sat table and you can install it using the Import/Export link but I would just download it so you have it for the next time you might need it. I am a huge advocate of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

I agree Bill, I downloaded Don's link, is it better to have the short version like I've been getting? Thanks!

Glenn,

Yes, that download link is a shortened table with the European satellites removed. Just the ones for N. America. That does shorten the table to about half size.

The settings sound good but makes we wonder why it was stopping every few degrees. You could try a 5 trigger but a 5 is rarely correct for a .74/F1 dish.

Thanks a lot Don, I've got it downloaded onto my decktop but will leave well enough alone until third week in June when we take off.

For a couple of years I had it on three but it was checking out all directions and four wasn't doing that. As far as the every few degrees, I'm at this point just going to assume it was having a brain far! LOL Thanks again, I, as always, appreciate your help.
