Since transferring account I have experienced some difficulty getting connected. Normally (at least it appears to me) there is some sort of issue with the modem. I always fine the satellite with no problems and generally get an RX code 5 almost immediately. However to get to TX 8 seems to take forever. I am getting messages as follows: TX 9, TX 13, TX 15, TX 10, TX 7 and today after getting connected I have “Search msg -48. DirecWay modems not found”. I very often get the “DirecWay modems not found” mixed in with the above TX messages. However eventually I somehow end up online? Any ideas as to what may be going on. (Have a called RTC tech always busy and no return calls)

That message means that your D3 and modem are unable to communicated. That's a router or router cabling issue.

Following Bill's message: that also means that the controller doesn't send location to the modem, so the modem can't range.

Thanks Bill and Don. The interesting thing to me is that once on line everything is completely fine until the next time I put the dish up.
