The problem now is that you are requesting the DNS HD channels, and there is a chance that someone will see that you have something you aren't supposed (legally allowed) to have. At that point they would likely kill either the DNS or the locals.

currently I have both SD DNS and HD locals. they were never able to provision the 390 HD west coast distants but since I'm parked in Lake Tahoe for the next few months I don't really mind.

I"m posting here as I guess this relates to the AM21 and OTA via DirecTV tuner. we are now in Corpus Christi.... firstly, the program guide says channel 10.1 has CBS evening news in HD, second, in the guide there is no 10.2, but checking with the website for the station, there is a 10.2, when I try tuning it in it says channel not available. in most locations all the subchannels are in the guide but not here...... We just upgraded to Direct HD and received an HR23 DVR which is compatible with the AM21 so ordered that also. I was able to install it blind behind the DVR cabinet as the extra 1" of height was making things pretty tight.
It works seamlessly with the HR23. Setup takes a couple of minutes to input the local zip code and delete channels you are not receiving. A few minutes later the channels appear in the DVR menu with a black background behind the channel number with two weeks of programming and pause and record capability. When we went out to QZ the chanels stayed on the menu but we would get searching for signal messages but when we got back Sunday evrything was working again.
Another neat extra is you receive signal strengths for each OTA digital channel so I was finally able to adjust our antenna to maximize the weaker channels.
WE have DNS so we now have east coast DNS HD (South Dakota address) and Phoenix live HD.
