I have an F1/D3 system on 99w. What would I need to pick up DTV? Don't really care about HD, but would like to get some basic cable if possible without too much extra stuff. I have a spare DTV reciever and an old DVR. Thanks for the info.

For most internet satellite assignments, just add an adjustable BOW and add DNS and you should be able to get your SD East and West network feeds.

With DTV you would need the special "lipstick" LNB and it would only work with the 99W satellite that you are currently assigned to. That may not be a problem but if you needed to change satellites in the future that LNB ("A" kit) would no longer work. If you can get yourself moved to another satellite you could use the universal LNB and it would likely carry you well into the future on most of the Hughes satellites.
