I had the opportunity to closely check out the Winegard TV dish this last week. Winegard was at the Monaco rally but had no installer so we installed 4 of them for Winegard.

The dish is very impressive. I especially like the multi-speed motors that give it similar movement as the G74. The fine peaking is excellent. It also appears to be very sturdy. They really painted it an awful color however!

Did you notice if the Motosat has plastic/vinyl covers on the mount and the Winegard has metal.

Manual stowing is far more difficult with the Motosat, if it should prove necessary. The
Motosat drive system is not sealed and uses a greased chain drive that will attract dirt.

The Winegard is a completely sealed system - all electronics and drive gear is sealed in a waterproof metal housing.

The Motosat IDU uses flashing LEDs for status. The Winegard has an LED display with
messages.

The antenna type on the Winegard can be set from the display without looking up stuff in
a manual. The Motosat elevation pins are not plated and rust quickly.

Not that anything is wrong with that.
All the above was someone else observation of the two units not mine.

Winegard probably gets a great discount on 55 gal. drums of that gray paint.

I have installed the Winegard Trav'ler on my motor home and I'm very happy with it. I am glad to see others voicing their experience with the Winegard.
