Has anyone had any luck setting up an F1 System to pick up Dish Network HD: 110, 119, 129 degrees? Besides the required Kits, what other hardware is needed for cabling, etc.? Ken

If your internet antenna is pointing toward 117W then you should be able to buy 2 universal BOW kits for 110 and 129 plus a lipstick (A kit) LNB for 119. I am not sure what kind of switch is necessary but a Dish dealer should be able to answer that or provide you with one. I don't believe that any other internet satellite would allow this combination to work so you would be "stuck" with 117W for your internet service no matter where you travel.

The problem with trying to get all three satellites is it probably can't be done! The old style LNB's will not work with the DPplus switches. If you use 117W for internet then you would need a DPplus lipstick LNB, which is not made.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the input. MotoSAT also says the darn thing would be marginal at best. Even using SatMex 5, a look angle of 110 to 129 uses up 19 of the 20 degrees max. They told me what switch to use, but not how to hook it up. I told the client to forget about it and buy a universal HDTV mount when he is ready.

Ken, They were wrong about the look angle since you are not going from 110 to 129 but rather the spread is from 117 to whichever satellite you want. Therefore it's 117 to 119 (OK), 117 to 110 (OK) and 117 to 129 (OK)! The real kicker appears to be the information that Don presents above. Thanks Don!

Shane Malin at MotoSAT said I would need an SW64 switch, but I haven't gotten any info on exactly what one looks like or how to hook it up. Royal Lamb referred it to their Tech Support Division for a look see. DishNet Tech support was of -5 help. Ken

Go with Don Marr's information. MotoSAT is struggling to get by with their current internet tech. support but when it get over to TV, things really go downhill! They know their products but they don't seem to know beans about what works with what outside of that.

Well, all I can say is I spent many hours trying to get the leagacy LNB's to work with the newer switch. The best I could get was two LNB's to function, when I added the third one the switch would not combine the signals as required. To be 100% sure it would take more hours. By someone else but not me

Well, I'm not going to spend time trying out all the permutations involved with hooking up that switch without even a diagram to go by. Thanks, guys.
