We spend the winters in Florida real close the the ocean so the salt is an issue.
We have a Motosat HD unit, the skew chain broke, it was very dry and just broke. I've never lubed anything on the dish.

What is the recommended lube for the chain(s)? should it be a marine grease or something lighter like the Kwikie step lube?

Thanks

I was just informed by my service tech that my skew error problem is a rusty dirty chain. He said he instructs people to clean and lube the chain twice a year with axle grease. That's news to me. Never saw this in the instructions.

You can use a bicycle chain lube or that marine grease should be fine too. The enemy here is that salt air from the ocean. It attacks most metals including aluminum.

Installed third skew motor and new chain. Hope this lasts with cleaning and lube.
