For someone who has not yet chosen, love to know what went into your decision-making process for selecting your particular sat system equipment.

Sat TV or Sat Internet?
If internet, you will find that 99.9% of the folks here own a MotoSAT Datastorm if automatic and any variety of tripod setups. For automatic (self-pointing) there really is not a serious competitor in this area.

When I decided to go full-time the only option available to connect to the internet while on the road was dial up. When satellite became a viable option I bought the required equipment. Today it's still the only option that works everywhere I travel in North America. Someday, cellular based systems will work in the boonies, throughout Canada and Mexico, but until then my satellite system keeps me connected.

Our primary source of income is derived from our multiple investments such that "staying on top" is critical to our well-being. Prior to December '05 that was not always possible and we often felt vulnerable. At that time we met Bill & Janet Adams through mutual friends in Tucson, an event that greatly enhanced our enjoyment of fulltiming. Their installation of our DataStorm system easily ranks as the most important "after market" change in our RVing lives as all we need is a "clear view of the southern sky" and we're on-line in minutes. Our system has been extremely reliable and in the nearly five years its been with us we've only had to call Bill & Janet for help four times, each call resulting in near instant problem solution. Honestly, we can't imagine what our situation would be if it weren't for our DataStorm, especially during the disasterous market downturn in late '08. For our money and particular need there's nothing better, in fact, nothing even close........... [Orange Dance]

Thanks for the good testimony! It is always good to hear from a satisified MotoSat customer. The equipment really is good stuff. But, just technical enough to give me good job security [Smile]
