I've just purchased a Direcway Dish off ebay and need someone to install it and point it to 117 on my home in Shady Cove just North of Medford, Oregon- Is anyone in the area that would be willing to do that for me? If so, please email me asap and let me know when it could be done and the cost. Thanks

Dick, I hope you do! We will be at the Beaudry RV Resort when we do hit Tucson. I think we will be a few days later than planned, but who know which way the winds will blow us!

Sandy, I did the same thing (added a fixed dish to my house near Charleston SC) several months ago. I found an installer by calling DirecTV vendors I found in the Yellow Pages under the "Satellite Dishes" category. I narrowed it down to two who also installed Direcway, then hired the one who sounded like he really understood what I wanted to do. That may be a route for you to take if no DataStorm installers are nearby. He did an excellent job, even having to work through the problem of a bad LNB.
Good luck!

I'm a solo lady full time RVer and I plan to be in Medford/Ashland area at the end of November. I've been considering getting the DirectWay satellite, so if you come up with an installer in that area, please let me know either through email or here.

Malia, If you do not need the Mobile service you can simply call the local Direcway dealer and they will make all the necessary arrangements to have a system installed on your home. Since Sandy only needs an antenna installed it is a bit different.

Thanks for the reply. I sure am sorry I missed you in Oregon. I'm a fulltime RVer and am interested in the tripod mounted setup, but don't feel comfortable just ordering it (like through Dustyfoot) without some guidance in the beginning.
Is there anyone else you would recommend? I will be in Ashland until May. Any chance you're coming back to Oregon during that time?
Thanks! Malia

If you will be passing thru Arizona any time this winter, stop by my Internet Cafe on Main Street in Quartzsite and I can give you a personal demonstration of the tripod system.

Malia, While I do not recommend a tripod unit to anyone, if a tripod is what you decide you want, Scott and his Dustyfoot tripod is the way to go. I don't know how he would handle teaching you to set up one of these monsters by phone, but if anyone can, it would be Scott. We will not be headed back into OR until Aug. or so of next year. Even so, we do not sell a tripod unit. We are strictly a DataStorm dealer and we like it that way.
