I have a tripod set up for both HughesNet and DirecTV. I have devised a mount for a SLM-3 LNB but am unable to get all the channels I need to for the Navigator. I had an accident about three years ago and dthe tripod was knocked over and twisted the arm and bend the mounting bracket. I was able to twist it with a big set of channel locks and it worked okay with standard TV. Now that I have HD I can not get a signal strenght over 75 with the BOW. I discovered that the arm is not level with the antenna using a level. It is about 10 degrees off level and the is still a slight twist in the arm. I need an "A" bracket and arm. I will pay the shipping costs if any one has one for sale.

Not sure what you mean by "not level with the antenna", the arm does not come off the side at a right angle but does angle slightly up by design. There is no twist in the arm itself and it would be nearly impossible for it to get a 'twist' in the arm because of the design.
If you are getting a SS of 75 for either 99 or 103 then it is doing well.

My bad. It is a DirecTV SL3 Slimline, that is how it was listed on the web site where I bought it (Solid Signal). The meter I use to tune in the antenna only receives 119 and 101. As I remember, the last time I tried to set up the BOW, the signal strength for 99 and 103 was in the 60's. I got most of the HD channels, except HGTV. That is a must have channel. I set up the antenna using DS LookAngle specs and get all the channels with the SL3 LNB. I would just like to not have to tote two tripods.

By the way Gary, are you still in Florida? We are currently in Mayport at the Naval Station, but going back to Orlando the 13th to have some work done before heading north for the summer. I would like to compare mounts if you are.

Sounds like bad info from the receiver. If you have an SL3 LNB it would be impossible to be receiving a signal from 119 while also getting a good signal from 101.

I hear what you are saying, but I know what I am seeing on the screen. I get 30 of the 32 transponders on 101, 110 I get two, 119 I get 11, 99 I get 14, and 103 I get 14 transponders. And that goes for both tuners of the DVR.

Bob, I will be home for 3 weeks before heading north. If you are getting signals from all 5 satellites, you must have the SL5 head and not the SL3. Can you post a photo of the head? The SL3 is about 4.5" wide. The SL5 is closer to a foot. I have the SL3 on my BOW, and SL5 on the house. Gary

You may not have the LNB you mention, I am just saying that it's impossible with the SL3 (SL3 = 3 satellites, 99KA, 101KU, 103KA). Only the 101 LNB is KU band so the other 2 could not pick up 110 or 119 even if you pointed them that way somehow. The SL3 looks like one slightly wide single LNB. If you have anything with more than 1 stand-alone LNB then you would have an SL5.

If I posted a photo, you would swear you were looking at your LNB. It is identical. I originally used the SL5 head with the three LNB's spaced a couple inches apart.

No I haven't set the receiver to SL3, though I have tried many times, with great frustration. I just went out and looked at the LNB. It is labeled "SL3 PIG-G" and it is identical to Gary's.
