As with anything else, as time goes by, things that we see as a very good thing tend to left to slip to one side. This could not be truer than when we are talking about donations to this site. You will never see Don asking anyone for any money but it appears to me that the total number of donations seems to be slowing somewhat. While NO ONE (I can't emphasis this enough, but NO ONE) has any obligation to donate a dime to this site, Don spends an enormous amount of time and money to keep it the top-notch site that it is. (Heck, just look at his mapping, DSSatTool and D2Admin programs). I also work very hard to help those on this site, but it does not cost me a single penny as I am just a poster here. I recently sent Don another donation and I ask that anyone here who has gotten some valuable information from this site, that has saved you either money or an incalculable amount of time, please click on the donate link and send Don something. It can be as little or as much as you can afford. If you have an extra $10, send Don a donation. If you are independently wealthy, this is a terrificly good cause and $10,000 would be a great donation without any obligations. (OK, maybe we don't have many/any users in that category, but my Mom always told me that if you don't ask for it you will never get it!) In any case, if you have found a reasonable value from this site, please consider making a donation. If you have made a donation I am sure Don has already thanked you personally. If you would consider making another, I would like to thank you as well. I don't think I have felt as strongly about just about anything in my life as I do about this site. Don has taken this site, the Datastorm product, the Hughes services and the tripod users to a new level with information that is available nowhere else in such a concise form. I know that if you don't send any money Don will continue to pay for this site and its updates without any griping, but if you want to say "Thank You" and help this site build bigger/better/newer information and software then I urge you to drop Don a note that includes a "note".

While I am sure Don has thanked you all personally, I want to say thanks as well. Don runs a great site and I am glad to see that you agree. I have gotten several personal e-mails from people who have donated and I would like to thank them as well. Anybody else? Come on, you've got a couple of extra bucks!

Thanks for the reminder. I find I use this site every day ... I appreciate all the information and discussion items. Not quite a mobile user ... yet ... need a few more gadgets and the ability to take the modem from the home office. Right now the home office needs it more than I do ... * sigh * ...

Just click My Profile-->Edit Profile and enter any text you want. For help with troubleshooting, most people prefer to list what satellite and transponder they are on, as well as their equipment type. Other stuff might include type of RV, dog names etc. etc. You can then get fancy by inserting images by using the special codes (see FAQs) and also placing links to your map location, or your own website and other stuff.

Along with any other pertinent information you would want to put at least this data in your signature line(modified to your particular setup): F1 Datastorm|D3|7000|IA8/1150H
