I have a D2 that won't upgrade to the newest version 3.7.6. It goes through the entire record load of 14766 records okay. I then do the NVCLEAR and it reports cleared. I then turn the D2 off and back on, however the D2 then has all the lights on as if it was in program mode. I've repeated this process twice with same result. Any thoughts?

I assume that you are powering the D2 off and on before you attempt the NVCLEAR? Do you have this hooked up to the antenna or are you doing it solo?

That is true, powering off then connect and doing the Nvclear. Doing it on the desk as always, in fact just did 2 other ones previously, however this was the oldest one where the record count shows and it takes 45 minutes or so.

The MotoSat tech had no knowledge of the old ones that take this long to update so was not helpful.

I have a D2 controller and the Model DW6000 Hughes DirecWay Modem. My problem is I quit using it a few years ago because it would not let me load new firmware needed. It had simply lost the ability to find the Sat and I was told it needed the new firmware. I assume even newer firmware is needed now so;

My question is What firmware do I need, where can I download it, and is there a pdf or instructions somewhere on exactly how I update the firmware.

Many thanks. I am afraid to even start this without those questions answered.

Incidentally, mine is mounted on my motor coach.

Thanks

The last version of software for the D2 is 3.7.6 and that is what you need to have installed.
You may need to do an nvclear and do a reinstall of the software if things are not working properly now as there have not been any kind of software related updates in many, many years.

The DW6000 modem will have to be replaced with a HN7000s. Hughes is not using the 6000 anymore.

It does not "have" to be replaced as MotoSAT can still activate or re-activate your 6000 if you choose. Now, it makes no sense since it costs an extra $20 to use a 6000 and you get worse service!

MotoSAT can't activate any Hughes modem. Can/will RTC activate a 6000?

Oops! I meant RTC. I "assume" they can do all the same things that MotoSAT could, but it certainly could be a completely different environment.
