I've been meaning to release this for a couple of weeks now, and finally have gotten around to it. Version 2.3.0 of DSLocator is now available for download at the usual location (http://www.satellitefriendly.com/ds_locator/DSLocator.exe). No huge changes, but here's a summary:
support for the extended-length map note field
some new and modified items on the Tools menu
improved support for the ampersand (&) character in Map Notes and User Name
various minor bug fixes
I'll leave it marked as Beta until there's some feedback here. Correspondingly, if anyone needs to drop back to the previous version (2.2.2), it will remain available at satellitefriendly.com/ds_locator/old/DSLocator222.exe.

The program is working good for me also. I must admit I really haven't paid much attention to the tools tab so not sure what's changed but... I checked out the 'map location here', 'aerial' and 'weather here' features and they are great.
I do use the program each time I move for updating the DataStorm users map and adding new locations to the data base.
Thanks for the updates and keeping the program working.

Sterling, I have noticed that the 'search from current location' does not appear to be working in the new Beta release. It takes me to the donate page with a message that I need to input some data. As I recall, this feature did work in the previous version.
Anyone else having this problem?

It was indeed a problem on the web page rather than with DSLocator. Should be fixed now, with no new download required. Mind giving it another try?

Update: There have been no other problem reports here, and quite a few Satellite-Friendly submissions using v2.3.0, so I have now removed the Beta label from it.

Sterling, I believe that the site listed as "Wagonhammer" in MT may have been posted incorrectly and should be Wagonhammer, Idaho, just north of Salmon. It may have posted incorrectly by me since we have a 30' trailer and were there about a month ago. We were also in Virginia City, MT before we hit Wagonhammer ... so somehow the 2 sites may have gotten mixed up somehow. Both were sat friendly sites ... but Wagonhammer should be in Idaho.
