I do not have an active light on my receive modem and also get an error message indicating I may have to reinstall the software provided by the ISP.

My question is: Is that the DirecWay Software 4.0.3.9 provided on the CD?

I would appreciate any input available.

It is unlikely that you actually do need to reload your software. If you did, yes that message refers to the 4.0.3.9 (which you could update to 4.2.1.10 if you actually do update.)
I would suggest that you turn OFF the computer and unplug the modems for 5 minutes. Plug the modems in and then restart the computer. See if the problem has fixed itself.

You should have a DataStorm folder on your desktop that contains the software.

Try rebooting the modems. (Unplug them for a minute or two) plug them back in and than reboot the gateway PC.
If this does not solve the error message. A no-phone web set up usually does.

Assuming of course all connections are good.
