Hi, I am a tripod user. Satmex5, 1130 is listed when I check the system info page. However, when I change locations and run registration installer to get back online I run it using satmex5, 1070. Seems to work pretty well. Would it be better to manually enter the satellite parameters of the 1130 transponder?

No. Any transponder that works if just fine.
