In the past few days there have been 4 reports on other forums of 7000 users receiving the FAP one-day rollover feature. They are all on satellite 91, but on three different transponders, 985, 1070, and 1410.

Anyone here seeing the rollover? (your FAP bucket would say 850 instead of 425)

Yup, starting last weekend, my FAP bucket was doubled. I'm on 91.

I'm trying to track these early reports - can you tell us what transponder/frequency?

still nothing on 99 (Galaxy 16) transponder 1010, but it's encouraging to see it happening somewhere in 7000land. i did get the free restore tokens, but it's not enough to have a real party with. this rollover would be ideal for us fulltimers who move every few days. it would be nice knowing that when i land i'll have two days worth of megabytes.

A few days ago I got moved from transponder 990 to 1050 on Sat117. That reset my FAP limit back to 425.

Today I had run my FAP down to 50 and just now it jumped back up to 370!

Did they get FAP rollover working on the 7000s now?

Rollover is apparently fully working for anyone on 91, but there are no reports of anyone getting it on another satellite.

You can tell if you have the rollover by simply looking at the FAP page in the modem. If you do, it will show full as 850MB, and your 370 as 43%

That page still shows me at a maximum 425 allowance so I guess I'm not rolling over yet. Just got some kind of glitch.

Bill, where have you seen anyone not on 91 with a 7000 that has the rollover? I have not seen any reports.

I'm on 117-1070 and nothing yet.

Dale, what are these restore tokens and how do you get them? I suppose its for tripod users only.

i got my 6 "free" restore tokens back on march 27 as a consolation prize for being on the bottom of the fap rollover implementation. the text of the hughesnet email was as follows:

Dear HughesNet Member,

You may have noticed that you recently received additional FREE tokens. These free tokens were given to you as a thank-you for being a loyal HughesNet Member, and to show you that we appreciate your patience as we work to roll out new features such as the Download Bank to all of our Members. You do not have to do anything to receive these tokens – they were automatically added to your account. To access your complimentary tokens, log in to the Restore Token section on MyHughesNet.com.

Thank you for being a valued HughesNet Member.

Glenn, restore tokens instantly refill your FAP bucket. One free per month, and more can be purchased.

These tokens were never available to Motosat customers. Apparently they could have been, but Motosat couldn't be bothered with the work it would have taken to get them implemented. Mobilsat does them for their customers, although I don't think it is as easy as it is for Hughes-Direct. Someone (I think it was Bill) said that RTC has said they are working on an implementation.

Thanks DonB, I tried to log in to Hughes and check 'restore tokens' but of course it didn't recognize my SAN or zip. It will be nice if RTC does it!
