I readying my Hughesway for operation here in Arizona because I was going to deploy it next week for the summer in the Colorado wilderness. After updating my configuration file I wanted to calculate my decimal lat long and fire up the sat here to make sure it was working.

Much to my dismay I got an error message. The tool gave me an error message "Component MSWINSOCK.OCX not correctly registered:a file missing or invalid"

I tried downloading from Don Bradner's page here on this form but still cannot get it working.

Can anyone help me?

I got the tool working on my new pc. However I noted that I did not get the full array of tools on the new pc. The old pc not only had DSSatTool, but several other tools. When I downloaded to the new pc I only got the DSATtool. For example I did not get the PC-OPI.

I would like to set up my new pc with all tools needed. The control system -1 & 2, the registration pages, PC-OPI, DSSATtool, etc. Where do I go to get downloads for all the tools I will need for my DW-7000?

Thanks for any help anyne can give.

PC-OPI is here in the articles section. The registration pages (which you should not be using) are in the modem on the advanced page. I have no idea what control system -1 & 2 are.

I now have the OPI and am getting ready to repeat the entire process using DSSATtool and PC-OPI on my new laptop.

The two pages you dont know about are provided by Hughes Net.

The PC-OPI is giving me a consistent 29 even though I am on the correct SAT. However the registration software is giving me a 61 to 67 strength.

Move to new thread "Still need help on system status".
