You are still showing to be in Fort Stockton. You need to try to update your position again either using the Map Form link on the top of this page or using Sterlings DSLocator program. When your coordinates show you are at Buckhorn, you will automatically show up on the map.

We arrived in Kerrville this afternoon, and it looks to me like there are quite a few more than 16 Datastorms here (the number on the map at this moment).
I'm aware that there are people who don't want to be on the map, and it probably isn't worthwhile to convince them that they might want to, but there are also those who forget to plot themselves, and those who either don't know about the maps or don't know how to do it.
So, the first of what will likely be a few requests like this: If you are parked next to someone with a dish, and they are not on the map, mention it to them. If they don't know what you are talking about, show them!
Let's get a full map, even though it may nearly be unreadable by the time we are done

My real world experience with folks putting themselves on the map is that they don't know there is such a thing and if they did they don't know how to get on it. I have tried, but have given up now as I got the distinct idea that they joined the Forum then never ever read it. In three years at our place on the coast have only seen two rigs that were on the map nearby in the resort.

Thanks yet again, Don. John and I are among those who are here but don't show up because we don't know how to use the maps. (I'd actually like to learn the national mapping, too.) If someone who has some time on their hands over the next few days feels like it, we'd be happy to learn from you.

Sure thing! At the moment it is harder for you folks with Macs than it is for the PC users. Maybe we can get RayD's creative juices flowing to produce a Mac utility that he's talked about!

John and Jane do have a PC and a Mac. I will be working with them over the next few days to find out why their dish is showing incorrect skew readings so I will set them up with your D2Admin program and they will be on the road to finding themselves.

C'mon, Bill--you know you don't have time for messing with teaching us how to find ourselves on a map! I'll bet there's somone out here who isn't chasing his or her tail around corners this week who can do it. (But we can just use the PC and make updates John's job, so that's easy.)

I have all the time I need for my customers and I am glad to do so. If I wasn't interested in helping I promise you would not have heard a word from me!

You're terrific, Bill, but Don came by today and did the tutorial on mapping! We're on it now, and Mom will be able to track us.
Cool!
